Shawdesh desk:
After an 11-day hiatus, the Khulna-Benapole-Mongla commuter train service resumed operation on Wednesday morning.
The commuter train, also known as Betna Express, departed Khuna station around 6:15am and reached Benapole around 8:30am.
The train, carrying 235 passengers, left for Mongla from Benapole around 9:30am, Saiduzzaman, Benapole station master, said.
The train service was initially halted on July 18 due to violence centring around the quota reforms movement. Although the train operation resumed on August 1, it was again suspended just two days later.
